2018 INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM: EPIGENETIC CONTROL AND CELLULAR PLASTICITY

The UC Irvine Center for Epigenetics & Metabolism (CEM) will hold its biennial international symposium "Epigenetic Control and Cellular Plasticity" beginning Oct. 4, 2018.

The event is part of a series of symposia on epigenetics and chromatin research that are aimed at bringing together the scientific community in the field.

The two-day symposium will focus on how epigenetic control and chromatin remodeling contribute to various processes that lead to cellular plasticity. Understanding the molecular mechanisms responsible for this level of control will bring essential information for future strategies in pharmacology, stem cell biology and therapeutics.

Date: Oct. 4-5, 2018

Location: Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering, Irvine, Calif.

Registration

Early registration is recommended because the symposium will be limited to 225 participants.

The registration fee includes participation in all sessions, lunches, coffee breaks on both days, as well as a reception and dinner on Thursday, Oct. 4.

  • $100 — Students (undergraduate and graduate)
  • $200 — Academics (faculty, postdoctoral scholars, university staff)
  • $400 — Non-academics

Registration is closed. For questions, please contact the Center for Epigenetics and Metabolism at cepmet@uci.edu
