The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential service available to campus academic appointees and staff, including School of Medicine staff and academic appointees with offices at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, as well as their dependents.
The EAP program is available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is administered by the Guidance Resources®, an EAP provider since 1978, with oversight from UC Irvine Human Resources.
There are two ways to access your Guidance Resources benefits:
Services are available in person, over the phone and online. All services provided under EAP are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the toll-free number above. Callers need to identify their connection to UC Irvine as either an employee or a dependent of an employee. Multilingual counselors are available. The first three counseling sessions for each issue are 100 percent free and covered by EAP.
After the initial EAP covered sessions, care may be transitioned to UC Behavioral Health Benefits.
