COVID-19 Funding Opportunities

In light of the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 worldwide, various grant agencies, as well as UC Irvine, are soliciting proposals for research projects that advance our understanding of the virus (natural history and pathogenicity) and transmission, as well as projects to develop medical countermeasures.

UC Irvine COVID-19 Basic, Translational and Clinical Research Funding Opportunity

We want to highlight the UCI Joint Research Fund which has been established to support researchers looking for ways to contribute to the effort of slowing and stopping the spread of COVID-19 and minimize its negative impacts. Supported by multiple schools and the UCI Office of Research, this fund is overseen by a single review panel, the Clinical Research Acceleration and Facilitation Team (CRAFT)-COVID Committee.

University of California COVID-19 Research Seed Funding

To accelerate breakthroughs in the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of California opened a called for scientists to submit proposals to apply for $2 million in seed funding to help jump-start their high-impact research projects.
