UCI MD/PhD student Heechul Jun has been selected as a winner of the 1st Prof. Joh Research Innovation Award by the Association of Korean Neuroscientists (AKN). The “Prof. Joh Research Innovation Award” commemorates Professor Tong H. Joh, a neuroscientist.
Heechul Jun’s work has been published in Neuron entitled “Disrupted Place Cell Remapping and Impaired Grid Cells in a Knock-in Model of Alzheimer's Disease” and recently accepted in Nature entitled “Dopamine facilitates associative memory encoding in the lateral entorhinal cortex”.
Heechul is advised by professor Kei Igarashi in the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology.
